LEARNING SUPPORT RESOURCES
The Learning Support Staff at St James’ Primary School work to support ALL students to be able to access the curriculum at their own level. This may mean offering support to students struggling with particular concepts or skills, working with students who have diagnosed disabilities or learning difficulties, or extending high achieving students to enable the, to achieve at higher levels.
As we begin our Learning from Home experience, it is important that you understand our support staff are still working hard to support all of our students at SJM – not just those with diagnosed disabilities or NCCD/ NDIS funding.
Please contact your classroom teacher via email if you are experiencing difficulties in understanding tasks or activities set. Alternatively, you are welcome to email our Learning Support Teacher, Mrs Renee Gavin
[email protected]
In this section of the SJM Home Learning site, you will find links to instructional videos information on working with children with disabilities and learning difficulties and intervention programs (particular students only).
Please take care of yourself during this potentially stressful time. Our intention is to support students (and now parents.) This is not meant to bring any extra stress or confusion. If it is too much for your child, that is OKAY. This is something we are all just trying to figure out as we go along. Be kind to one another, and be kind to yourself. Regardless of what happens, everything will be fine.
